Right of withdrawal — why the 14 days do not apply here

For most things bought online in Romania, consumers have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason (OUG 34/2014). That right does not apply to a congress ticket.

Article 16(l) of OUG 34/2014 excludes contracts for leisure services that the trader must provide on a specific date or period — which is exactly what a ticket to an event held on 12–18 October 2026 is. The same exception covers concerts, conferences and similar events.

You are told this before you pay, and you are not losing a right you would otherwise have kept. What you do have instead is the contractual cancellation window described in our Refund Policy: a 50% refund if you cancel at least 30 days before the congress, and a full refund if we cancel the event.

If something goes wrong

Write to us first — most problems are settled fastest that way. Send your complaint to contact@tacssyd.ro with your order number and what happened. We aim to answer within 3–5 business days.

National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC)

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can turn to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection.

SAL (Soluționarea Alternativă a Litigiilor) is the out-of-court route: an independent body examines the dispute and proposes or imposes a solution, without going to court. It is free or low-cost for consumers.

SOL / ODR — the European platform is closed

Romanian e-commerce sites have for years carried a link to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform ("SOL" / ODR). We deliberately do not link to it, because that platform stopped operating on 20 July 2025, after Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 repealed the regulation that created it.

Sending you to a page that no longer resolves disputes would be worse than not linking at all. The ANPC and SAL routes above replace it and are the ones that work.

Applicable law

Romanian law applies to purchases made on this website. Nothing on this page limits the rights you have under Romanian consumer legislation.
