Cancelling your participation
- 30 days or more before the congress — you are entitled to a 50% refund of the participation fee.
- Less than 30 days before — no refund.
Requests must be sent in writing to presedinte.craiova@sscr.ro. The deadline is judged by when the email reaches our inbox, so send it with time to spare; we accept no responsibility for email delays. Make sure you receive a written confirmation from the committee — that is what validates the request.
When no refund is issued
- No-shows — you registered but did not attend;
- Access denied because of a breach of the Terms and Conditions;
- Rejected abstracts;
- Booked workshops, conferences or events you did not attend;
- Inability to attend for personal reasons, illness or travel difficulties, including visa refusal;
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event.
Administrative fees and payment processing fees are non-refundable.
If we cancel
- The whole event — you are entitled to a full refund of the participation fee. No compensation is provided for travel, accommodation or other expenses.
- Postponed to a new date — you may either move your registration to the new date at no extra cost, or ask for a full refund.
- A single workshop — you are reassigned to an alternative, subject to availability. The workshop fee is refunded in full only if no suitable alternative can be offered.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are processed within 30 business days from approval, using the same payment method as the original transaction.
Your statutory right of withdrawal
The 14-day right of withdrawal that normally applies to online purchases does not apply to congress tickets. Article 16(l) of OUG 34/2014 excludes leisure services supplied on a specific date or period, which is what an event held on 12 – 18 October 2026 is. The cancellation window above is what applies instead — see Consumer rights and complaints for the detail and for how to escalate a dispute.
Other costs
Accommodation, transport and visa fees are arranged and paid by you, and are not refunded by the organisers.
